An absolutely breathtaking Castle wedding in Dorset with a real life 'Love Actually' moment...? This wedding was one dreams are made of! Read on to find out exactly how it went down and keep on right to the end to see my behind the scenes reel!
This March wedding was a deceptively cold one - so bitterly cold that Faith really didn't want to go outside for photos and the group photo on the steps was one I had to do in under a minute because absolutely no one wanted to endure that icy wind (although the groomsmen braved it for me later!), but the absolute SUBLIME magic taking place inside with the afternoon light leaking through the windows and casting rainbows on everything was like a little blessing, bringing the outdoors inside, enchanting us all before the sit down meal ensued.
The morning started at a nearby house for wedding prep with Faith and her family and bridesmaids. There was a lot of champagne and laughter, with Faith choosing to do her makeup herself and hair done by a friend. It was such a low key start to the day that I couldn't have imagined how absolutely NOT low key the castle would be when we arrived! It actually blew my mind - the styling and florals set up by the uber talented Melanie Rose Designs (can't recommend her enough!!) was absolutely breathtaking. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better - a gospel choir from London popped up mid ceremony to absolutely secure the 'best wedding ever' title for this EPIC day.
Scroll to the bottom for the reel of that little BTS moment - I couldn't resist whipping my iPhone out for that bit of magic.
